Objectives of the Qualification/ Program

Automotive:

This program is designed to meet the needs of training in the local labor market, based on the national professional standard for the profession of the first mechanic of cars and light trucks. The training in this program includes general skills in English language, mathematics, physics, human communication methods and dealing with others. In addition to these general skills the qualification offers specialized skills in the mechanics of engines and engines related to the maintenance and repair technology of systems and mechanical components in the car and light trucks. The program also discusses training on how to develop a strategy to diagnose mechanical malfunctions in the car and light trucks.

Electrical:

This program is being designed to meet the training requirement of local labor market, based on the national professional standard to develop the competencies in an individual to work as an electrical technician. The main skills that will be covered in this training program are; installation and troubleshooting of electrical wiring (domestic and industrial), control panel wiring and installation, industrial automation, operation and control of hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, maintenance of electrical appliances  and power connection, industrial health and safety, interpretation of electrical drawings, interpersonal and communication skills.

Mechanical:

In Mechanical specialization, the mechanical technician is delivered with certain set of skill and programs like to understand and read the drawings, basic metalworking techniques; shaping of metal cutting metal to desired shapes and tolerances, carrying out fixed drilling with countersinking and tapping, Able to carry out Pipe bending on pipe bending machines.

Also, Trainees can perform some of the machining work-facing, turning and parting off & assembling and disassembling.

Apart from this the knowledge of Electric arc welding skills like setting up the welding machine, usage of correct amperage setting, Manipulation of the welding electrode, Length of the electrode and speed of travel in Shielded metal arc welding, Metal Inert gas welding & Tungsten Inert Gas welding is taught. Additionally Farm and processing equipment is also delivered in this Mechanical program.

Description of the Qualification/ Program

The qualification was designed for learners who are working in a range of food operations roles, typically in automated production/processing companies. The qualification includes job roles such as operating, monitoring and documenting results in strict adherence to standard operating procedures.

Secondary School Certificate with minimum 80% marks.

Head of Specialization Profile

Babur Ali
He got his Bachelor of Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in 2011. He worked as a Head of Automotive Electrical Mechanical of DFP from 2015 to present. He also worked for CINOP Global as a Trainer from 2013 to 2015.
